It’s easy to walk away from that ungodly relationship when we don’t really like that person but what if
It’s easy not to steal $1m when you’ve got $100m but what if
It’s easy to forgive when the hurt isn’t deep or when it’s been strangers who betrayed us but what if
It’s easy to pretend to be like Jesus when we’re among others who act like him but what if
It’s easy to read our bibles and pray and fast regularly only when we have to announce our achievements to others but what if
It’s easy to be steadfast and persevere when the goal/reward is in sight and everyone is applauding but what if
It’s easy to believe and trust that God is able when everything is going as planned but what if
It’s easy to keep your words when there’s not much at stake but what if
It’s easy to go the extra mile if it’s within your comfort zone or when it costs you nothing but what if
It’s easy to close that inappropriate adult content someone shared if your relationship with spouse is secure and you’re not emotionally bereft but what if
it’s easy not to resort to that bottle, needle or person to fill the void when you’re living life intentionally and in purpose but what if
It’s easy to exonerate ourselves and judge others who commit the ‘big’ sins while we wrestle with secret sins no one knows about
It’s easy until the enemy tempts us with someone or something we think we can’t do without
What temptations has the enemy been secretly bothering you with?
There’s grace at the foot at the cross, let’s retreat there today.
Lord I confess without you, I’ll fall apart, I need You hour by hour.
